Hello Dear Children,
I want to tell you that this post comes from my general concern for your health & well being! I want all of you to learn & grow & have great health & relationships. I think that you may understand what I want to share so lets get to it...
Hygiene! What does this word mean??
Hygiene (which comes from the name of the Greek goddess of health, Hygieia), is a set of practices performed for the preservation of health. In our culture it can often mean mere 'cleanliness', hygiene in its fullest meaning goes much beyond that to include all circumstances and lifestyle practices that promote a safe and healthy environment.
Please watch the following video that talks about teenagers (but, remember almost all of this applies to you too!!)
I hope you find this interesting because we will make our own in class:) We will use different materials but please take a look at the tutorial so we can go straight to work in our class!!
Have fun learning!!
Miss Noelle
Time capsules are often a collection of different items considered valuable or important placed in a tube or box, burried or hidden, with the intention that they will be opened or accessed at a future date.
The ancient Greeks & Romans did not leave a time capsule exactly but left many items from their time that help us understand how they lived & behaved.
What things have you found to be important during your life that you have chosen for your class time capsule? Do not forget to explain why it is so important now and why you think its important for the furture? Describe the colour, shape, size & smell. You may also add the item, a picture or drawing.
The clips below are people opening capsules from long ago... what did they find?
Today´s PROJECT (use a WORD document, write & attach pictures) You MUST CHOOSE an item that you would like to send into the future! *Explain the connection bewteen the past & present. (Connection) *Describe the element: colour, size, shape, texture, taste, sound, etc. (Form) *Explain how it works & why it is important. (function)
